Dear colleagues,
It’s only about two months to the 9th European Conference on Precision Agriculture!! We are doing our best to have everything ready to welcome you on July 7^th.

Conference communications
These last weeks we have been working hard together with John Stafford, the Editor, to finish the Proceedings. Now it is turn for the Wageningen Academic Publishers to have them printed on time. We are sure they are doing their best although some of the papers have delayed the process! We are really enthusiastic about the final figures; this time, the Proceedings are compiling 100 papers and we are expecting about 90 posters!! Moreover, to date we have more than 220 registrations!!

We are now distributing the technical sessions and the oral communication within the program. Be aware of the program webpage updates in the following days!

Regarding the poster submission, we have decided to extend the deadline until May 10^th AT MOST. We remind you that POSTER ABSTRACTS must be submitted using the MSWord template provided at www.ecpa2013.udl.cat/papers_posters.html. As mentioned in previous calls, we are also expecting you to submit your poster design in order to publish a complete and high quality Book of Posters (electronic publication with ISBN). Follow the instructions and use the MSPowerpoint poster templates! Remember to check the list before submission.

ATTENTION! In order to have the poster included in the Book of Posters, authors MUST be registered (and have paid) by May 10^th AT MOST. Remember that each fully or student registered attendant can present a maximum of two communications (either oral or poster).

Travel planning
It is time now to plan your trip if you have not done it yet. Visit the Venue - Directions webpage for details. We inform you that the organization is not providing especial transport to the attendees. You should look for transportation to Lleida and book it on your own.

Please, bear in mind that we are all meeting on Sunday July 7^th at 19:30h for an exclusive guided tour and  for the Conference Welcome Reception at the Seu Vella (our old cathedral). If late, you can always take a taxi (it is only 5 to 10 minutes).

Evening Events
We are designing a program to enable spontaneous meetings as well as to promote social relationships during the conference. To this purpose, we are working on offering you especial Evening Events to attend after the technical sessions. These Evening Events will consist of short and relaxing low-cost experiences nothing to do with Precision Agriculture but with amusement (visit to a local brewery, Catalan/Spanish cooking workshop, sports, cultural exchange,...). They will also be open to the accompanying persons. In short, you will receive a detailed offer and we will ask you about your choice.

Partner program
The 9ECPA is also offering a Partner program. There will be guided tours within the town and its surroundings for accompanying persons every day (Monday to Thursday) from the morning until the afternoon (including lunch). The program will finish around 18h so that it will be possible for the attendees to join the Evening Events after the conference technical sessions. Check the website for updates in the following days.
